Ook de wereld van de vormgeving en het hedendaagse design ontsnapt niet aan een gezonde portie surreele humor. Forms with a smile bundelt ontwerpen en objecten van moderne surrealisten en toont aan dat niets is wat het lijkt. Harige tapijten, lampen in de vorm van een melkfles, usb-sticks gesneden uit houten takken of zetels gemaakt uit pluchen troeteldieren. Is het puur humor? Of is het een prikkelend statement verpakt in een aanstekelijke glimlach? Net zoals het surrealisme vertelt design soms meer dan we denken.
