Pinacoteca Tosio Martinengo. Impressione eccellente rifilato alla battuta. Ottimo stato di conservazione, foxing sparso. Bibliografia: Le Blanc, p.96 vol.IV e p.327, vol.I n.22; L. Mond, p.52, vol.VIII.

1971rif. 38860New York and Milano Milan: Collectors Editions / Marco d'Acqua 1971-1996. Three volumes one of text one of plates and the supplement complete. First and only edition of the standard catalogue raisonné of Della Bella's prints. De Vesme's catalogue initially appeared in 1906 as pp. 66-332 of his "Peintre-Graveur Italien" but that edition is less than ideal both because it is unillustrated and because of its many errors and omissions. In the late 1960s Phyllis Dearborn Massar performed the Herculean task of assembling photographs of the over 1300 prints described correcting De Vesme's mistakes and supplying new information regarding unknown states and proofs. This two-volume edition is the result of her outstanding scholarship. In 1996 Tiziano Ortolani published the invaluable supplement which updates the original work with hundreds of additions corrections and high-resolution plates. Folios bound in publisher's cloth. Tiny traces of wear to extremities of bindings otherwise as new. Supplement in perfect condition. The essential reference for anyone interested in Della Bella's prints. Complete sets with the supplement are rare. Collectors Editions / Marco d'Acqua hardcover
