The strongest publications are Maximumrocknroll HeartattaCk No Idea and Punk Planet each a substantial title with a long publication history and an established presence in punk archives. Maximumrocknroll had covered international punk and hardcore since the early 1980s; HeartattaCk ran for fifty issues under Kent McClard and the Ebullition Records staff; No Idea developed from a Gainesville fanzine into a record label; and Dan Sinker's Punk Planet published eighty issues between 1994 and 2007. Eleven stapled magazines and mail order publications United States 1996 to 2000 approximately 20 to 40 pages each. The group includes: 1 Holy Bible of Punk Rock Maximumrocknroll no. 155 April 1996; 2 Revelation Mailorder Zine Summer 1996; 3 HeartattaCk no. 13 November 1996 including its detailed reader poll; 4 No Idea no. 12 with coverage of Hot Water Music Floor Less Than Jake Against All Authority Braid and other Gainesville and national acts; 5 SMASH! 1997 Mail Order Catalog; 6 Extent no. 7; 7 Victory Megazine vol. 1 no. 2 Winter 1997-1998; 8 Peel Zine no. 5 March 1998; 9 Punk Planet no. 37 May and June 2000 devoted to crime and justice; 10 a black and white illustrated issue titled Radical Mouirer or similarly; and 11 one additional punk periodical included in the group but not separately identified in the supplied images. No inserts are present. The magazines preserve contemporary reviews and advertisements for records by Bad Brains Warzone Strife Integrity Sense Field Texas Is the Reason Chain of Strength Hot Water Music Less Than Jake Braid and dozens of smaller bands alongside interviews letters polls scene reports ordering information and contributions from readers. HeartattaCk asks about straight edge vegetarianism voting censorship affirmative action favorite records and editorial policy; No Idea joins interviews and reviews to Gainesville label and distribution activity; Maximumrocknroll prints international scene reports correspondence and extensive record coverage; and Punk Planet connects music writing with policing prisons youth criminalization elections and digital distribution. Individual issues of the major titles appear regularly on the collectors' market with No Idea early HeartattaCk and specialized Maximumrocknroll issues generally carrying the strongest demand; value here rests chiefly in the breadth of the group and its concentrated coverage of late 1990s punk and hardcore culture rather than in a single exceptionally scarce issue. Numerous bent corners and creases worn covers and pages edge rubbing and toning from repeated use; bindings remain intact. Overall good condition. A compact record of the music being recorded reviewed distributed and debated within American punk and hardcore communities from 1996 to 2000. unknown

1995réf. 238331995. Dan Sinker's Punk Planet periodical group 1995 to 1996 documenting the Chicago magazine's early expansion of punk from music coverage into a broader culture of independent publishing comics fiction political criticism visual art and DIY production. Founded by Sinker in Chicago in 1994 when he was nineteen Punk Planet ultimately published eighty issues through 2007; Sinker later characterized its subjects as independent "bands artists thinkers doers" while contemporary bibliographic records classify the magazine under radicalism punk culture and New Left periodicals. These four issues fall within the magazine's formative second and third years when its pages were already divided among interviews articles fiction comics DIY record reviews fanzine reviews and reader correspondence. By issue 15 Sinker had begun soliciting major political features using the 1996 presidential election and Republican National Convention to test how a punk publication could report beyond music while retaining the participatory structure of underground publishing. Sinker Dan ed. Punk Planet. Chicago: Punk Planet 1995 to 1996. Four issues nos. 8 12 14 and 15 illustrated newsprint periodicals with black and white interiors and occasional color covers. 1 Punk Planet. Chicago: Punk Planet July/August 1995. No. 8. The contents identify interviews with The Smeers Fabric Red Aunts and A Gun For Rent alongside fiction articles comics DIY record reviews and fanzine reviews. The masthead records an extensive contributor network while the magazine provides separate addresses for submissions and letters advertisements reviews and distribution making visible the decentralized correspondence through which readers writers bands and independent publishers entered its pages. University of Iowa holdings confirm no. 8 as July/August 1995. 2 Punk Planet. Chicago: Punk Planet March/April 1996. No. 12. Black and white illustrated issue with Hopeless Records advertising on the cover and the magazine's expanding combination of music independent cultural production and commentary. No. 12 closes the magazine's second publication year a period Sinker later described as one devoted to developing the publication's form after its first year had been spent learning the practical mechanics of producing a magazine. 3 Punk Planet. Chicago: Punk Planet 1996. No. 14. Cover of battered toy cars above a contents line naming The Promise Ring Delta 72 The Strike Re/Search's V. Vale Factsheet Five's R. Seth Friedman and "120 pages of Good Lovin'." The combination connects bands with two figures closely associated with alternative publishing V. Vale of RE/Search and R. Seth Friedman of Factsheet Five placing punk music inside a larger network of independent periodical and zine culture. 4 Punk Planet. Chicago: Punk Planet October/November 1996. No. 15. A red blue black and white political cover announces "PATRIOT GAMES PP COVERS THE REPUBLICAN CONVENTIONS" while also advertising Action Girl Comics Rhythm Collision Chamberlain Cheesecake columns and reviews. Sinker later identified no. 15 as the first issue for which he solicited a cover story from writers produced during the Clinton and Dole presidential campaign when the magazine was beginning to move decisively beyond its origins as principally a music publication. Punk Planet emerged from a 1990s punk culture in which debates over independence commercialization political commitment identity and access were occurring inside the scene as well as in mainstream coverage of punk. Sinker founded the magazine partly in response to boundaries he perceived within existing punk publishing and its editorial range eventually encompassed feminism labor human rights media criticism politics and visual culture alongside music. Punk Planet continued this model for eighty issues from 1994 through 2007 eventually reaching a national readership while remaining based in Chicago. Moderate even toning to newsprint with light edge wear occasional creasing and minor handling wear; issues remain intact. Overall very good condition. Four early issues documenting Punk Planet as it widened the boundaries of 1990s punk publishing to encompass music DIY production independent media comics fiction and national political reporting. unknown

réf. 10589Planet of the Apes Shirt. Very interesting shirt that was custom made for and used during the filming of the Tim Burton film "PLANET OF THE APES". The design of this piece is quite unusual with the way it wraps around and the way it has only one sleeve. This is absolutely genuine and screen used. It is made of what appears to be a coarsely woven linen material for the sleeve and genuine leather and bark for the body. It is lined with a soft felt like material to make it more comfortable. Comes with a signed certificate of authenticity from Studio-Props and 20th Century Fox. unknown books

2001réf. 93372001. Planet of the Apes dinner-scene bowl and fork created for Tim Burton's 2001 film contribute to the production's visualization of an ape-controlled civilization in which human beings are enslaved and treated as an inferior species. The objects belong to the film's extensively designed domestic culture extending its reversal of human and animal hierarchies into ordinary acts of dining and hospitality. Production accounts describe Ape City as a thoroughly imagined environment filled with purpose-built architectural and household detail making such tableware part of the visual system through which the film gave physical form to ape social power aesthetics and everyday life. Two production props attributed to the dinner scene in Planet of the Apes. United States: Twentieth Century Fox and The Zanuck Company 2001. One wooden bowl with metallic surface coating and one fork of an unidentified heavy material the fork measuring approximately 10 inches long; bowl dimensions not supplied. The fork has intricate molded or carved detailing with subtle burgundy coloration while both pieces were deliberately distressed to simulate prolonged use within the fictional setting. Their substantial scale metallic effects ornament and applied wear distinguish the objects from conventional tableware and support the film's presentation of an ape society that combines primitive textures with elaborate ceremonial design. No studio documentation prop tags or certificates are described so the attribution to the dinner scene should be retained as supplied rather than treated as independently verified. Burton's film released in 2001 reworked the premise of Pierre Boulle's novel and the earlier film series for a contemporary audience with production design by Rick Heinrichs and costume design by Colleen Atwood. The bowl's metallic coating and the fork's burgundy-toned ornament preserve the production's emphasis on tactile visibly aged surfaces rather than modern industrial uniformity. Both pieces retain intentional production-applied wear; no additional breaks losses repairs or post-production damage are identified very good. Visually distinctive pair of screen-attributed props illustrating how the 2001 production constructed ape culture through the design of functional domestic objects. unknown
