This is the twelfth title published in the Signature Books 'Significant Mormon Diaries' series. This work was limited to 500 numbered copies this copy is number 366. Abraham Hoagland Cannon 1859-1896 lived his life in the shadow of his father the prominent politician businessman and LDS Church First Presidency member George Q. Cannon 1827-1901. Abraham died fairly young and spent his entire Apostolic tenure as the junior member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. For these and other reasons he is almost unknown in the LDS Church today. Perhaps the single most important thing he did in his life - after his Apostolic ministry - was to keep a marvelously complete and detailed journal. It is this journal that brings him out of historical obscurity and grants us the precious record of an Apostle who witnessed Church history in the making. Signature Books unknown books
