Jehan Soudan de Pierrefitte, ami et collaborateur d'Alphonse Allais dont il créa la Société des Amis d'Alphonse Allais à écrit seul ce roman, prétendument posthume d'Allais, signé de leurs deux noms et précédé d'une lettre-préface de l'humoriste, mais datée du 23 décembre 1905, soit près de deux mois après le décès de Alphonse Allais. Il s'agit sans doute d'un projet que les 2 hommes avait en cours, basé sur " Dans la peau d'un autre ", titre d'un véritable conte parmi les plus drôles et les plus absurdes d'Alphonse Allais, publié dans son deuxième recueil " Vive la vie ! " en 1892. Rarissime édition originale en superbe état général.

Plats et intérieur frais, malgré des bords insolés et un papier jauni et cassant. Complet du prière d'insérer, laissant supposer qu'il s'agit d'un service de presse. Livre racontant la conquête militaire française du Soudan occidental débuté en 1880. Mention fictive de 2ème édition. Bel état général. Edition originale ornée d'une cordiale dédicace autographe de Paul Adam au romancier, journaliste, chroniqueur du cirque et du music-hall André Legrand. Paul Adam avoue son admiration pour le roman " Liroquois " écrit sous le pseudonyme de Legrand-Chabrier en collaboration avec Marcel Chabrier.

The present item forms half of a 4to leaf torn down the middle vertically no doubt in order to provide an autograph. In good condition lightly aged. Written lengthwise on the reverse in a large bold hand is the valediction: ‘Hoping that you are fit & well / Yours ever / R Slatin’. The text on the recto reads: ‘. Jackson / . again - and / .y Home a little .cians dates - although .d written word . the gift comes . & thank you for . this time the Katran . be a success’. 29 October 1907.
