Bland was selected by President Monroe for a special diplomatic mission the South American Commission of 1817-1818. Spine gilt worn away corners bumped still a very good sound and complete copy. Very uncommon technical treatise on dress making by F. Marti de Gili who is described on the title page as the Founder and Director of the Barcelona Women's Technical Institute and contributor to European and American fashion magazines.
