Prima edizione di questa celebre opera caricaturale del noto illustratore inglese, Henry Mayo Bateman (15 febbraio 1887 - 11 febbraio 1970, Gozo, Malta), che fu un artista umoristico e fumettista britannico. HM Bateman è stato notato per la sua serie di cartoni animati "The Man Who …" e per opere, come "The Man Who Lit His Cigar Before the Royal Toast", "The Man Who Threw a Snowball at St. Moritz"o "The Boy Who Breathed on the Glass at the British Museum", apparso sulla rivista satirica Punch. Ottimo esemplare, prima edizione.

16738 pp. Fascicolo originale tratto dall'opera "Vite, et azzioni di personaggi militari, e politici, descritte dal Conte Gualdo Priorato, stampato a Vienna da Thunmayer tra il 1673 e il 1674. Il fascicolo misura 28,7x19,7 cm. Bell'acquaforte originale con lo stemma araldico del personaggio del quale si raccontano le gesta. Il fascicolo contiene la vita completa del personaggio trattato. L'opera ripercorre la vita e le gesta di Bartolomeo Soler Marrades signore di Salliente, Turís, Chella, Albalat de la Ribera y Pardines, natio a Valencia nel 1616. Si formò a Roma fu richiamato ben presto a Vienna alla corte di Ferdinando III che lo fece Cameriere della Chiave d'Oro. Subentrò a Cesere Montecuccoli come Tenente Generale.
