This appears to be the "Library Edition" given the Provencal and French texts printed on vellum. Printed at the same time as the first edition. Written in the relaxed conversational style of an elderly gentleman reminiscing about the old days this account details the authors childhood and adulthood with the provincial countryside serving as a background. This poem is printed in this copy in both Occitan and French on facing pages.'Memoires et Recits' is a collection of stories.Frederic Minstral was a French author known for his Occitan literature and lexicographer on the Porvencal language. He won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1904. In a half morocco binding with cloth to the boards a signed binding by Bumpus. Externally smart though 'Memories' has some marks to the front board. Light rubbing to the spine. A few minor lighter marks to the boards. Some spots to the fore edges. Prior owner's ink inscription to the verso to the front endpapers. Internally firmly bound.
