2010brossura Carlos Kleiber, ovvero l'Enigma. Sul podio emanava una gioia fisica incontenibile; ma, sul podio, ci andava il meno possibile. Il suo approccio viscerale, dionisiaco, alle partiture, nasceva da una concertazione millimetrica, fatta di revisioni del testo e innumerevoli segni di arcate ed espressione apposti di suo pugno sulle parti. Schiacciato dall'ombra di un padre gigantesco, il celebre Erich, ripropose per tutta la vita quasi solo le partiture nelle quali egli aveva trionfato. Più cresceva l'entusiasmo del pubblico di tutto il mondo, più lui si sentiva perplesso: incerto, sempre, dei risultati. La sua paura del successo lo trasformò in un mito. Il suo disinteresse per gli aspetti pratici, ne fece il direttore più pagato del mondo. La sua tecnica istintuale, di una perfezione irripetibile, lo faceva sentire un eterno principiante. Ma soprattutto, Kleiber sentiva su di sé il peso etico della musica. La responsabilità di essere depositario: testimone di un mondo in declino. Fu l'ultimo umanista della musica: nella sua aspirazione all'Ideale, il tramonto dell'Occidente divenne festa e, insieme, banchetto funebre.

INSCRIBED BY ZYKINA in Russian to her photo on page 3 there is another incription on the back of the front cover from I believe Elmira Kosterina one of the dancers and two other signature to the 1st page also in Russain which possibly belong to the baritone and to the other dancer. No other markings Very Good. Card cover side-stapled 24pp B&W photos of Zykina one of the ensemble one of the dancers one of wooden spoons. There is a history of the Balalaika and program notes in English and in French. Advetsing for CP Air Air Canada Aeroflot and some others. Zykina who died in 2009 was born in Moscow and joined the Pyatnitsky Choir in 1947. Beginning in 1960 she performed solo. She befriended Ekaterina Furtseva the powerful Minister of Culture of the Soviet Union and was reputed to be a favourite singer of Leonid Brezhnev. It is known she was a particular favourite of both Kim Il-sung and his son Kim Jong-il performing in Pyongyang six times at the invitation of the Kims. It was also reported that Kim Jong-il was so fond of Zykina that he invited her to Pyongyang in 2008 in hopes that her performance would help him recover from illness. 1.0 JM ITF docket 30.
