With engraved plates facsimiles of handwriting etc. The author was a prolific French poet and chansonnier who enjoyed great popularity and influence in France during his lifetime but faded into obscurity in the decades following his death. From the Myers' library sold at auction. 1" at tip of Vol. 2 split at spine fold and hinge of I has a small split both quite repairable by binder; else a tight bright and clean set.
