1992réf. 026312Imprimerie Valdotaine - Aoste 1992. Soft cover. Very Good. This book merits a note on its production values. A 1992 reprint sponsored by the commune et biliotheque de Saint Vincent "edition introduction et bibliographie par Rosanna Gorris" of two books originally published in the early 1950s by Andre Ferre. Since both the reprint and the original publications were printed by the same printing house "Imprimerie Valdotaine - Aoste" they had access to the original plates so that the text is exactly identical to the original including fonts layout pagination title and copyright pages etc. all in pristine condition no POD facsimile blurring shadows omissions. The illustrations however leave room for doubt. All are black and white without any certainty if some of the originals were in color. The photos in particular have a graininess one would associate with scanning. Paper stock is a heavy glossy magazine stock in generous large format 17 x 24 cm. There is a possibility that some of the photos like the one of Ferre's extended family placed facing the original frontispiece may have been posthumously added by the editor. Avant propos de Lin Colliard et intro/bibl de Rossana Gorris XVI pages. Superb cover art by Mirko Cianci. Bel exemplaire - very light wear. Both the original and the reprint are scarce. Important contribution to the literary heritage of Val d'Aoste. Imprimerie Valdotaine - Aoste paperback
