She got her big break in the early 1940s when a concert at which she was performing was attended by the great film composer Max Steiner; this led to her joining his staff at Warner Bros.; in 1949 she was hired as a full-time harpist at Paramount and spent most of the rest of her career there. There's some good anecdotal material about working with Cecil B. DeMille and Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis among others at Paramount. "Along the way Aida describes the professionals in the film music business she encountered and relates stories involving the history of Los Angeles and its connection to the music world at the time as the city was a cultural cornucopia at the end of the Second World War."
