2001br. «In questo pamphlet, nervoso e ispirato, eloquente e convincente, che non teme il tono dell'invettiva, così meritato dal suo oggetto, la riflessione impietosa di Pablo Echaurren mette a nudo la grande truffa dell'arte contemporanea. La truffa consiste nel far credere alla contemporaneità che l'arte sia quello che oggi le viene presentato come tale. Si sa che la truffa è un delitto poco punito, perché i giuristi considerano che chi truffa ha sempre un complice proprio nel truffato, colpevole di credulità, e quindi corresponsabile. E poiché la contemporaneità dà, e ha già dato, ripetutamente la prova di essere essenzialmente credulona, oltre che ignorante, le si può imbandire quotidianamente la tavola con mille cibi contraffatti, etichettati come "arte", di cui essa si nutrirà senza mai protestare, così come non protesta per il neo-cibo che le è venduto in tutti i supermercati...» (dalle Note di Gianfranco Sanguinetti)
