1978réf. 19097USA: St. Martin's Press 1978. A first edition first printing of 'Dawn of the Dead' by George A. Romero published by St. Martin's Press in 1978. A near fine book with some rubbing to the top edge of the boards - without inscriptions. In a near fine gently spine faded dust wrapper which is unclipped showing $7.95. Some rubbing to the corners. George Romero's 'Dawn of the Dead' 1978 is a seminal horror film often hailed as a masterpiece of the zombie genre. This iconic sequel to 'Night of the Living Dead' showcases Romero's sharp social commentary using a shopping mall setting to critique consumerism. The film follows a group of survivors who barricade themselves inside the mall as the undead swarm outside offering a tense and gory exploration of human survival instincts. Romero's groundbreaking special effects and innovative use of practical makeup designed by Tom Savini set a new standard for horror cinema. Dawn of the Dead is celebrated for its blend of horror satire and intense action making it a cult classic that continues to influence filmmakers and pop culture. With its compelling narrative and unforgettable visuals the film remains a cornerstone of zombie lore solidifying Romero's legacy as a pioneer of modern horror. St. Martin's Press hardcover

1978réf. 29897New York: St. Martin's Press. Near Fine. c.1978. Later Printing. Softcover. nice clean copy with just the barest traces of handling wear. Trade PB color photo section Although cover-blurbed as "The Classic Novel That Spawned the Blockbuster Cult Film" this is in reality a novelization of the film the second in Romero's zombie trilogy which was released in 1978. Although this book bears only the 1978 copyright date it's obviously a later printing as indicated by the mention in the rear-cover blurb of the third film of the group DAY OF THE DEAD which didn't come out until 1985. Also the printed price on the rear cover is $8.95 while I believe the price on the 1978 printing was $4.95. And those who might consider themselves sticklers by observing that I've omitted Romero's middle initial A. from the author statement even though it appears on the front cover I refer you to the book's title page which bibliographically speaking is the primary authority which also leaves it out. . Fazit: Das ideale Weihnachtsgeschenk. 1978réf. SBBIH-JUYMTBD7QBJFRoutledge & Kegan Paul Books 1978. hardcover. Good. Our good condition books are generally good for reading but not for gifting or collecting. They could have imperfections such as creasing fanning inscriptions margin notes yellowing staining on edge or cover or pages bumps scuffs etc etc sometimes multiple of these. It's a wide category that encompasses anything that isn't almost-new down to anything that is slightly better than poor. We would NOT recommend gifting Good books - these should be considered reading copies. Our books are dispatched from a Yorkshire former cotton mill. We list via barcode/ISBN so please note that the images are stock images and may not be the exact copy you receive furthermore the details about edition and year might not be accurate as many publishers reuse the same ISBN for multiple editions and as we simply scan a barcode or enter an ISBN we do not check the validity of the edition data when listing. If you're looking for an exact edition please don't order at least not without checking with us first although we don't always have time to check. We aim to dispatch prompty the service used will depend on order value and book size. We can ship to most countries see our shipping policies. Payment is via Abe only.
