1978Best.-Nr. 29897New York: St. Martin's Press. Near Fine. c.1978. Later Printing. Softcover. nice clean copy with just the barest traces of handling wear. Trade PB color photo section Although cover-blurbed as "The Classic Novel That Spawned the Blockbuster Cult Film" this is in reality a novelization of the film the second in Romero's zombie trilogy which was released in 1978. Although this book bears only the 1978 copyright date it's obviously a later printing as indicated by the mention in the rear-cover blurb of the third film of the group DAY OF THE DEAD which didn't come out until 1985. Also the printed price on the rear cover is $8.95 while I believe the price on the 1978 printing was $4.95. And those who might consider themselves sticklers by observing that I've omitted Romero's middle initial A. from the author statement even though it appears on the front cover I refer you to the book's title page which bibliographically speaking is the primary authority which also leaves it out. .
