1950réf. 003618Albuquerque: University of New Mexico Press 1950. Book. Fine. Hardcover. Signed by Authors. 1st Edition. Unique Limited Signed Edition number 49 of 300 copies. The original first edition had been out of print for a year and a half when Sage publishing printed a second edition. Subsequently 300 copies of the original first edition published by the University of New Mexico were found at the bindery. This edition was prized over the Sage edition because it contains an introduction and color printing that the less expensive Sage edition did not. A limitation page was tipped in which was signed by Frank Waters. The dustjacket is price clipped and has very light rubbing to the front flap fold and the spine ends. This copy is housed in a unique red slipcase with Indian art on the spine. Book is protected in a custom cut clear mylar cover. All books are carefully wrapped and shipped in a box. 1981réf. 810New York: John Springer Associates Inc 1981. First edition. Very good. Quarto. 27 leaves printed on rectos only. Mechanically reproduced typescript with pictorial cover sheet. Staple absent from extreme upper left corner with rust staining left behind otherwise very good. A studio PR firm's promotional release for John Waters's first film to earn an "R" rating rather than an "X." As usual Waters was both writer and director and cast Divine Francine Fishpaw and Tab Hunter Todd Tomorrow in the lead roles. The promo includes a two page plus four lines synopsis; a four page biographical treatment of Waters with a discussion of his films; and a cast list with production information. "Polyester introduces ODORAMA a ludicrous gimmick which will allow the audience to share in 10 of the more penetrating odors that plague poor Francine" --page 2. Extremely uncommon.
