2018Pearl Buck, la scrittrice americana vissuta in Cina per buona parte della sua vita, ha ottenuto il Premio Nobel per la letteratura nel 1938. Il presente volume, che nasce da una giornata di studi organizzata dall'Istituto Confucio e dal Contemporary Asia Research Centre dell'Università degli Studi di Milano, offre una serie di interventi che intendono sottolineare l'importanza letteraria e culturale di Pearl Buck sia negli Stati Uniti che in Cina, approfondendo il successo di "The Good Earth" (1931) in Italia e sul grande schermo.
