1931rif. 2230041New York: The John Day Company 1931. 1st Edition . Hardcover. VG-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover first edition with proper points "flees" on page 100 & "publisher" on copyright page. Light brown cloth boards with gilt on front and spine. Exterior shows some scuffing and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear. The internal binding is good at the boards but there is some separating and wiggle at the title page this can easily be repaired if desired the front end page contains the original owner's name and address written in pencil no other handwriting found. No bookplates no library markings present. Pages are mildly tone due to age and there is scattered foxing and spotting present. At the time of this listing we had multiple copies available. The rear spine cloth may seem slightly looseappearance that is it that I can see but listed as Near Fine ADDED to this collection is the remaining books of the Trilogythe Sons and A House Divided both are Great Copies themselves-search my books for the photos of them also and the 4th book of the SagaThe Mother. I have been collecting Mrs Buck's books for over 40 years and they are hard to keep in stock. The TLS came from a 5th grade school teacher back in the 90's just waiting for the right book to come along. I sold off 4 of the cards but I did keep 1 mentioned in the letter.
