After being mobilized on the front at the beginning of World War II he launched in Lyon in 1940 a magazine called L'Arbal�te transformed the following year into a publishing house 8 rue Godefroy in the 6th arrondissement . The magazine will count thirteen issues until 1948 with a summary of authors such as Antonin Artaud Mouloudji Michel Leiris Paul Claudel Raymond Queneau Jean-Paul Sartre Ernest Hemingway Henri Michaux and Louis-Ren� des For�ts.
