L'origine lorraine du manuscrit de Remiremont n'est certainement pas etrangere a son statut de manuscrit de luxe, car c'est dans l'Empire germanique que les Evangiles et les Evangeliaires ont connu leur plus bel essor. Le voisinage de l'art mosan, qui au seuil du XIIIe siecle vient de connaitre sa plus grande gloire, n'est sans doute pas etranger a la qualite stylistique et iconographique du manuscrit qui apparait du meme coup comme un nouveau temoin du 'style 1200'. Volume I, Part 1 (1974) surveyed publications in the social sciences primarily from 1969 through 1972; Volume I, Part 2 (1975) presented works in the humanities from 1970 through 1973; Volume II, Part 1 (1976) contains important books and articles in the social sciences published between January 1973 and December 1974. Accordingly, this volume continues bibliographical information on works in the humanities published from 1974 through 1975.
