Citt? di Castello 1877, d. Acqui 1928) still today unknown, embodies the figure of the ?militant? printer, admirer of and expert on the finest Italian printing traditions yet conscious of the progress and problems in this field. To maintain intact his sombre and essential printing style a fac-simile of his ?Pagine di arte tipografica? (1918) is now reprinted. ‎Édition originale rare et précieuse établie par l’imprimeur langrois Jean Boudrot sur le manuscrit de Denis Gaultherot (1570-1657).Natif de Bourbonne-les-Bains (Haute-Marne), Jean Boudrot, avocat à Langres depuis 1638 au moins, est qualifié d'imprimeur en 1647, date à laquelle Jeanne Deschanet, veuve de l'imprimeur de Langres Jean Chauvetet, paraît lui avoir cédé son établissement ; attesté en activité de 1648 à 1660. Décédé avant le 29 mars 1662. Sa veuve Marguerite Gaultherot lui succède jusqu'en 1668 au moins.Feuillets liminaires : dédicace à Sébastien Zamet avec le blasonnement de ses armoiries, pièces en vers ; histoire de Langres divisée en deux parties dont "Lengres païenne" et "Lengres chrétienne" avec la liste des évêques-ducs de la cité.« Parmi les livres ayant appartenu à Denis Diderot, on n’a pratiquement pas découvert, jusqu’à présent, d’éditions se rapportant à la période de sa vie à Langres, sa ville natale. Comme on le sait, l’impératrice Catherine II a acheté la bibliothèque de Diderot de son vivant, mais celle-ci n’a été transférée à l’Ermitage qu’en 1785. Parmi les livres transférés au milieu du XIXe siècle de l’Ermitage à la Bibliothèque Impériale publique, on a retrouvé trois éditions directement liées aux relations de Diderot avec Langres. (…) Le deuxième livre se rapporte directement aux relations familiales de Diderot et à l’histoire de Langres. C’est une étude des antiquités de la ville et de ses environs, qui est issue de la plume de Denis Gaultherot, un historien local. Cet ouvrage reproduit de nombreuses inscriptions romaines qui ont résisté à l’épreuve du temps dans les environs de Langres. Il n’est pas impossible que Diderot ait utilisé dans son Voyage à Langres, les informations recueillies par son compatriote. ‎Erste Ausgabe. * Karl Gerstner (1930 Basel - 2017 ebenda) war ein Schweizer Grafikdesigner, Werber und bedeutender Vertreter der Schweizer Typografie. Zusammen mit Markus Kutter gründete er 1959 die Werbeagentur Gerstner + Kutter, die 1962 unter Beteiligung von Paul Gredinger zur «GGK» wurde. Die GGK war lange eine der erfolgreichsten Agenturen der Schweiz und später Deutschlands. Sie hatte Filialen in vielen Ländern Europas. Nach seinem Rückzug aus der Werbewelt engagierte sich Gerstner im Verlagswesen. Johannes Gross, damals Chefredakteur des in Köln erscheinenden Wirtschaftsmagazins Capital, verpflichtete ihn als Berater. Gerstner konzipierte viele Jahre zusammen mit der Chefredaktion inhaltlich und optisch die monatliche Titelgeschichte. Als der Verlag Gruner + Jahr 1980 das Wirtschaftsmagazin impulse auf den Markt brachte, war Gerstner ebenfalls wesentlich an dem Projekt beteiligt. Er konzipierte das visuelle Erscheinungsbild des Heftes und war, wie bei Capital, an der Ausgestaltung der Titelgeschichten entscheidend beteiligt. 1981/82 war er auch Berater beim Kunstmagazin art, das im Heft 11/1981 auch einen Artikel über Gerstner als Künstler veröffentlichte. Im Jahr 1964 wurden Arbeiten von ihm auf der documenta III in Kassel in der Abteilung Graphik und auch 1968 auf der 4. documenta gezeigt (vergl. Wikipedia).‎
