(*) Le « Portrait d’Erasme par Hans Holbein le jeune, gravé par F. Weber 1813-1882 », est tiré au centre d’un triptyque, encadré par le titre (ci-dessus) et la page de titre de l’ouvrage (déteinte, en brun clair, de la vignette sur la page « Typographie »). Ce portrait « a été reproduit sur cuivre par Louis Maccard et imprimé en taille douce par E. Monnard ». Louis Maccard fut un aquafortiste renommé qui travailla avec de grands artistes, dont André Collot et Salvador Dali.
