I quartini sono contenuti entro una cartella editoriale che sulla copertina anteriore reca la data: anno 1947. Mancano 3 quartini. Alla prima pagina di ogni quartino una xilografia di Giovanni Michelucci: quindi un totale di 9 (su 12) xilografie inedite di Michelucci (matrici intagliate nel 1925). Edizione di 150 esemplari dedicati ad personam: esemplare di Serafino Borgiotti. Rarissimo. Qualche fioritura alla cartella.

Extraits choisis par Guy Lévuis Mano dans la Sainte Bible des Docteurs Louvain, composés et imprimés par lui "pour son plaisir et à l'intention de ses amis et compagnons de travail". Léo Kok gehörte zu den engsten Freunden von Guy Lévis Mano. Léo Kok (1893-1992), holländischer Komponist und Pianist, hatte vor dem Krieg in Paris gelebt und hatte dort Guy Lévis Mano kennen gelernt. Am 27. November 1943 wurde Kok verhaftet und nach Buchenwald deportiert; auch Guy Lévis Mano wurde verhaftet, er kam in ein Straflager nach Deutschland. Beide überlebten; während Lévis-Mano zurück nach Paris ging, zog Léo Kok nach Ascona wo er lange Jahre das legendäre Antiquariat "Libreria della Rondine" führte. Extrem rar. First edition. The Encyclopedie Méthodique was a reworking of the famous Encyclopédie of Diderot and d'Alembert, containing most of the articles from that work with additions and corrections. Its chief novelty was that the whole was divided into subject categories, making every subject thus more easily accesible. All these parts form independent works on particular subjects. At the head of vol.
