‎60p. Printed in red and black. Remarkable black endpapers printed with a black and red mask. 8vo. Original full black cloth binding lettered in gold, and with Shakespeare's autograph embossed in blind on the front board. The original black slipcase is worn at extremities. Designed by Meyer Wagman. Small Limited Edition, but no statement of number. Kurt Hans Volk (1884-1962) was born in Germany, and probably trained as a printer/typographer there. He worked for many years at N.W. Ayers in Philadelphia before starting his own typographic firm in 1927. He widely lectured on advertising typography and authored the important work: "Using Type Correctly." He greatest influence as a designer was probably as a consultant to the Merganthaler Linotype Company. Today he is probably best known for a private series of keepsakes and limited edition books distributed to friends at Christmas. We are pleased to be able to offer one of last of these here. Fine books from earlier Christmas seasons make great gifts today. **PRICE JUST REDUCED! CHRISTMAS/W67‎
