A Eugene Field II forgery. With Lincoln's forged signature on the front wrapper; Eugene Field's forged signature on the title page; alleged provenance written out by Field II at end of page 320. Provenance: sold in the 1950's by an L.A. bookshop to a noted film director - as an authentic Lincoln item. At that time Field II was not known to be the forger that he is today.</p> T.B.
