This Dickens title contains the first so-called "dark plate" at p.547 and for the first time Phiz created five horizontal plates. This is a mixed state first edition with first issue points of Captain Cuttle's hook on his left arm "Joy" for "Delight" on p.284. "Capatin" has been corrected to "captain" on p.324.
