Onofrio a Roma. Nella "Nuova Divina Comedia" riscrive completamente la prima cantica della Commedia in forma satirica, sferzando l'intera scena politica italiana, dai Moderati ai Monarchici (cos Rossini A. Lippmann a poem which lampoons the 'three long years' of F.D. Roosevelt's presidency and the "gay electioneering season" to come accompanied by a full page color picture showing Roosevelt and Landon in the setting of Alice in Wonderland. The color illustration is by Gregor Duncan who worked for Life until it ceased publication in November of 1936. The cover illustration by Dorothy McRay is of a woman in jodhpurs preparing to ride a wild horse. In 12°; 71, (1) pp. La brossura originale è rappresentata dal frontespizio dell'opera. Stampato su carta di ottima qualità. Piccolo rinforzo al dorso con scritta ottocentesca con il titolo al dorso. All'interno velina con disegnate a mano alcune delle scene tratte dall'edizione della "Rotta" stampata a Venezia da dal Fabro nel 1801. Ottimo stato di conservazione. Xilografia al frontespizio. Rarissima edizione stamapta a Vllterra da Sborgi di questo classico della letteratura italiana. Rif. Bibl.: Melzi, II, 478, "E' il Canto ventesimosesto e parte del ventesimosettimo fino alla stanza 153 inclusive del "Morgante Maggiore" di Luigi Pulci. Queste separate ottave furono più volte reimpresse".
