Mimeo snipes on verso of both one with annotations in holograph pencil and Culver Picture stamp on verso and one with "Menningen" and graphic stamps on verso. <br/><br/>The first Black musical and one of the first all-Black films by a major Hollywood studio with arguably more depth than its predecessor Paul Sloane's "Hearts in Dixie" the first all-black Hollywood film released earlier the same year. <br/><br/>King Vidor's first talkie written by screenwriter Wanda Tuchock who started in the silent era and went on to become one of the first women to be credited as a director on a Hollywood film. <br/><br/>Although King Vidor had expressed his intent of an honest depiction of rural southern African American life the film still clearly advanced racial stereotypes of the era. "Hallelujah" had however authentically represented African American spiritual music from the period which no other film achieved.<br/><br/>Shot on location in Tennessee and Arkansas.<br/><br/>8 x 10 inches. For some reason this ignites a passion in Boake and he renews his torrid romance with the widow Gentry. Finland: United Artists 1954. 1st Edition . No Binding. Fine. An original Finnish A2-sized cinema poster for the Korean War film Sabre Jet starring Robert Stack. The film was first screened in Finland in 1954 with no further theatrical releases. This poster is not a re-issue or a modern reproduction and nor is it Video/DVD-related. The "small" standard vintage Finnish film poster is the most common and collected version and approximates in size to the German or Hungarian A2. Sizes do vary very slightly depending on the printers involved and the era. Stylistically vintage Finnish movie posters rarely reproduce the same art-work from the original studios' publicity material. Older films were usually re-named in Finnish and Swedish below but nearly always referenced the original title of the movie somewhere in the presentation. Signed in the plate by the artist and printed by Piirtopaino Oy this poster measures 60cm x 40cm approx. It is in Very Fine condition with no pinholes or adhesive residues. The film is a five-story anthology inspired by the B-movies and the EC comics of the 1950s.<br /> <br /> While this is an original King work it isn't listed in Beahm's Stephen King Collectibles or in TheDarkTower bibliography. <br /> <br /> There are two issues or perhaps editions of this script. The first this one has Films Around the World credited on the title page. According to the film script experts Royal Books the producers on the title page changed to the Laurel Group when Films Around the World sold the film rights and Romero was hired to direct the film. <br /> <br /> 1 142 leaves. First edition first issue with "Films Around the World" credited on the title page. Near fine. Black vinyl wrappers with the title stamped in gilt with Studio Duplicating Service identified as printer in the lower left corner. Bound with two brass screw brads. <br /> <br /> Provenance: James Strand; stolen in 2023; recovered by the FBI from a storage unit in Oregon City.
