Finding Neverland
Miramax 2004. DVD Movie. Starring Johnny Depp Kate Winslet Radha Mitchell Dustin Hoffman. 101 minutes. Widescreen format. Closed captions. Fine copy with original artwork. Screenplay by David Magee based on the play The Man Who Was Peter Pan by Allan Knee. Based loosely on the story of J. M. Barrie and how he found his lost boys. Depp does fairly well with the accent but really is miscast as Barrie. He can not manage to portray the plegmatic nature of the playwright who created Peter Pan. Also many things in the real story are even better than the created incidents in this film. However the set and costumes are well done. Miramax unknown

At a seance to reach Vivian's spirit the reluctant Wayne hears what he thinks is her voice but discovers Julian Julian in the shadows and accuses him of conspiracy. After several sleepless nights haunted by the voice of his lost wife Wayne finally "gives in" to her spirit and attempts to kill Donna with a pillow but is overpowered by police and leaps from a window to his death per his wife's instructions.
