New York: Sony Picutres Classics / American Playhouse 1997. Original Press Kit for the 1997 film documentary. A rare press kit for one of Errol Morris' least-seen and most fascinating documentaries. Conceptually intensive even for this director "Fast Cheap and Out of Control" documents the present-day lives of four utterly different subjects: a robot designer a topiary gardener a wild animal trainer and a mole rat specialist. Without drawing even a single comparison Morris causes the viewer to see the many intersecting strands in the worlds of the film's subjects. A weighty meditation on the nature of genius madness and obsessive men attempting to work themselves out in the modern world. Two corner stitched documents on orange stock with essays and reflections on the film film credits and review. 3 glossy black-and-white photographs 8 x 10 inches with oblique images representing the film's four characters.
