Carlo De Frede Carlo De Frede, già professore di storia moderna nell´Università “l´Orientale”, ha dedicato la massima parte delle sue ricerche a Napoli, sua città natale, conosciuta per assiduo e scientifico studio e partecipazione emotiva alla sua vita passata e presente. Ha pubblicato con la Casa Editrice Liguori un libro su Galeazzo di Tarsia (1991) e un altro su Il Decumano Maggiore (2005), che è la rappresentazione storica della più importante strada di Napoli dall´antichità al secolo XVII. Le percezioni oscure e l'appercezione trascendentale in Leibniz e Kant
br. Nella teoria della conoscenza di Leibniz, la percezione corrisponde alla pura sensibilità ed è apprensione oscura, incosciente dei dati, al contrario l'appercezione è la coscienza delle percezioni che ci permette di passare gradualmente dall'oscurità alla chiarezza dell'intelletto. Nel fluire del tempo della nostra esistenza, sperimentiamo una molteplicità di percezioni, a volte poco intense, da sfuggire alla piena coscienza e consapevolezza del nostro io: vi è un continuo dinamismo tra ciò che è oscuro, potenziale, inconscio e l'orizzonte di una conoscenza che progressivamente acquisirà un senso e un significato più chiaro, profondo, autentico, cosciente, consapevole. Le nostre percezioni sono accompagnate da un processo soggettivo-riflessivo-cognitivo: l'appercezione è il fondamento ultimo della coscienza e dell'io. Questo significato viene ripreso e rielaborato da Kant che definisce l'appercezione pura quell'io penso che «deve poter accompagnare tutte le nostre rappresentazioni», costituendo l'unità pura, originaria, sintetica dell'appercezione trascendentale.

Es war bei seiner Gründung 1906 das erste medizingeschichtliche Institut der Welt und erlangte erhebliche Bedeutung für die Entstehung der modernen Wissenschaftsgeschichte sowie einer quellenorientierten Kulturwissenschaft und dies weit über den deutschsprachigen Raum hinaus. Die angeschlossene Bibliothek wurde maßgeblich vom Ordinarius des Institutes Karl Sudhoff 1853-1938 dem wichtigsten Medizinhistoriker des 20. Jahrhunderts gestaltet und trug in Anerkennung Sudhoffs historiographischer Verdienste seit 1938 auch seinen Namen. Sämtliche von uns aus diesem Bestand angebotenen Titel ca. 2.500 sind ordnungsgemäß ausgeschieden und tragen in der Regel entsprechende die Provenienz bekundende sauber ausgeführte und meist ästhetisch nicht oder kaum störende Kennzeichnungen auf Vorsatz- und/oder Titelblatt sowie mitunter einem weiteren Blatt. - Erste Ausgabe. - PROVENIENZ: Das hier angebotene Buch stammt aus der Ende 2018 aufgelösten Bibliothek des Karl-Sudhoff-Instituts für Geschichte der Medizin und Naturwissenschaften der Leipziger Universität. Leibniz allo specchio. Dissimulazioni erudite

Raccogliendo per la prima volta le recensioni giornalistiche agli scritti leibniziani apparse sugli "Acta Eruditorum" di Lipsia, uno dei primi periodici scientifici europei, il volume si presenta come un'inedita introduzione antologica al pensiero filosofico e scientifico di G. W. Leibniz, vale a dire un filo nel labirinto dei saperi e delle controversie che animarono la sua straordinaria biografia intellettuale. Favorito dall'anonimato oltreché dalla complicità di un allievo fidato (C. Wolff), il filosofo di Hannover ha avuto in più occasioni l'esigenza di tornare sui propri passi; se nell'autorecensione viene meno il riferimento a un interlocutore, degno di encomio o di biasimo, allora si è trovato al cospetto di sé medesimo, riflesso dall'opera. I documenti che compongono Leibniz allo specchio non solo chiariscono dunque una lucida strategia di divulgazione delle idee nella République des Lettres, ma - in virtù della traboccante ricchezza dei problemi affrontati (dalla logica combinatoria alla farmacopea, dal diritto naturale alla geogonia, dalla storia istituzionale del Sacro Romano Impero all'impianto apologetico della teodicea), rendono anche piena giustizia alla vocazione enciclopedica del pensiero leibniziano, in parte tradita dalla storiografia più influente.
