Some rubbing along spine but overall a near fine copy. The memoir of the author's sister. Privately printed and limited to 100 copies. Rare. This copy incribed to Henry Harrisse by the author with an additional autograph sentiment to Harrisse pasted in at the front and several printed and manuscript pieces relating to the Renan family tipped in at the rear. Many of Henry Harisse's early writings are devoted to Renan. He mingled in French literary circles where he met and formed a close friendship with George Sand among others.
