Macmillan & Co. London. In Two Volumes. The Jungle Book is a second issue of the first edition published in June 1894 a month after the first issue of May 1894. The Second Jungle Book is a first issue of the first edition. 1895. Original illustrated blue cloth gilt all edges gilt. The Jungle Book has a slight lean to spine which is crumpled at head and tail with very slight fraying to tail. Boards very lightly used with a very tiny nick along lower joint almost invisible. Neat ownership inscription to front free endpaper. The pages are fresh and clean and almost unread. A lovely fresh copy. The Second Jungle Book is in very similar condition it has a slightly more pronounced lean and the spine is very slightly knocked it has no ownership inscription. The binding is very slightly visible between pages of 48/49 but there is no weakness or cracking. A lovely set. 1894, 1895 hardcover
