He was born in India the inspiration behind a vast amount of his writings which include 'The Jungle Book' 'Just So Stories' and 'Kim'. Part of an appeal by The Daily Mail this item was one of a large quantity of merchandise sold to raise money for soldiers fighting in the South African War and their families.
