Comenzó su carrera en Buenos Aires como grabador en la legendaria imprenta de Francisco Colombo durante 1936 y 1961 para luego abrir su propio estudio entre 1961 y 1981. Su obra como editor se inclina especialmente por la poesía de autores angloparlantes italianos y argentinos. Para sus libros bilingües ha recurrido a grandes traductores y amigos Juan Rodolfo Wilcock Tulio Carella Basilio Uribe entre otros. A reprint of the first edition restricted to 404 copies. This copy is one of the 350 printed to 'toned paper'. Published as a part of the Shelley Society second series of Shelley's works. Direct from the library of the late Hugh Selbourne MD 1906-1973 a noted book collector and diarist. The compilation and editorial factors of this work were by Bertram Dobell who writes the prefatory note. Alastor or The Spirit of Solitude was first published in 1816. It is considered to be one of the first of Shelley's major poems. The poem initially received negative reviews due to its obscurity. However there were positive reviews written for Blackwood's Edinburgh Magazine and The Examiner. In original paper covered boards. Externally generally smart. Age toning and rubbing to the paper covered boards and spine. A few small marks to the rear board. Internally generally firmly bound though strained in places. Dated from Library Hub c1886. A collection of essays and letters by popular author Percy Bysshe Shelley edited with an introductory note by Ernest Rhys. This volume being the former personal copy of Richard Strachey with his bookplate to front pastedown. Part of the Scott Library series published by Walter Scott. Sir Richard Strachey was a British soldier and Indian administrator third son of Edward Strachey and grandson of Sir Henry Strachey. He had ten surviving children with well-known author Jane Strachey a supporter of women's suffrage who led the Mud March of 1907 in London. Among his children was Lytton Strachey popular author and thinker and James Strachey psychoanalyst and biographer of Sigmund Freud. In the original publisher's cloth binding with titles stamped in gilt to spine. Externally smart with slight shelfwear and slight bumping to head and tail of spine and extremities. Richard Strachey's bookplate to front pastedown. Inscribed to front free endpaper by a previous owner dated 1932. Internally Firmly bound. Tear to front free endpaper. Pages are bright and clean.
