À la suite des "Nuits", ce volume contient : Le Jugement dernier - Paraphrase d'une partie du Livre de Job - Épître à Voltaire - Revue de la vie - Pensées sur différents sujets - Le Plaisir - Eusèbe ou le riche vertueux - Extrait du poème intitulé "La Résignation". Deux tomes de 276 et 244 pp., reliés en un volume in-16. Avec 2 frontispices [par Clément-Pierre Marillier]. C'est Pierre Le Tourneur qui, en 1761, donna la première traduction française de "The Complaint, or Night Thoughts on Life, Death, and Immortality", publié à Londres de 1742 à 1745. Reliure plein veau marbré, dos à nerfs orné de fleurettes et de filets dorés, toutes tranches rouges. Coiffes et coupes un peu usagées, sinon bon état.
