Dr. Kildare Takes Charge
New York: Grosset & Dunlap 1941. War time reprint edition of the popular Dr. Kildare Series. This one was the basis for the movie "Dr. Kildare Goes Home" one of the many films that M.G.M. made based on the novels. In the early 60's Richard Chamberlain made a name for himself playing the dashing doctor in a popular television series. The very nice Leo Manso dustjacket has a touch of light wear: a few tiny bottom tears a tiny scrape on the letter E of the title and a tiny small hole on the white back panel of the dustjacket. The cheap war time paper is as usual browning with age but there are no chips or wear to the interior of the book. Fine/vg. Reprint Edition. Cloth with Dustjacket. Grosset & Dunlap Hardcover

New York.: Dodd Mead & Co. Very Good in Good dust jacket. 1964. First Edition. Hard Cover. 8vo - 20.5 x 13.5 cm.; 4 - 251 - 1 pp. Orange cloth with black lettering and decorations on spine and front board. One of the Dodd & Mead "Silver Star Westerns". The copyright is first dated 1931 and renewed by Dorothy Faust in 1959 but the work never appeared in book form until this edition of January 1964 and as such was published posthumously. The text block head edge is dust soiled with minor foxing. The interior is clean and the binding is tight. The dust jacket price clipped and in a mylar sleeve is edge worn most especially at the spine crown / heel with chips nicks and small closed tears. The spine of the jacket is darkened and the back panel shows minor overall soiling. All in all a quite nice and clean copy with a reasonable presentation of one of Brand's more obscure westerns. .
