Avec une lettre manuscrite repliée de Bataille, écrite du 12 avenue du Bois de Boulogne à une correspondante non identifiée, bel exemplaire. Recueil divisé en trois parties (la première déjà publiée en 1895) de ma quinzième à ma trentième année, comprenant La chambre blanche, Le beau voyage, Et voici le jardin. Délicieux poèmes: Les trains rêvent dans la rosée, au fond des gares / Ils rêvent des heures, puis grincent et démarrent / J’aime les trains mouillés qui passent dans les champs. A la fois auteur, poète dramatique, et artiste peintre, Henry Bataille habitait en 1904 avenue du Bois de Boulogne en compagnie de la comédienne Berthe Bady, qui lui servit de modèle - ainsi qu’à Toulouse-Lautrec - pour certains tableaux.
