Grand Lodge of South Dakota ex libris pastedown on inside front cover, slight imperfection to paper surface above this, blue ink of crest also slightly echoed opposite, blank reverse of second front endpaper bears a number 7 in blue pencil at base. Frontispiece, tissue guard has lost chunk of lower fore edge corner, portrait has echoed on title page opposite, content clean and uncreased. Inside rear cover bears card strip across lower fore edge corner. Very Good.

Titled in green within a gilt fan on the front cover, and in gilt on spine. The covers are rubbed and bumped with some wear to head & tail of the spine. 160 pages, illustrated with a frontispiece, title vignette, pictorial headpieces 3 full-page plates and textual illustrations. The leaves are slightly soiled, and a small piece is clipped out from the bottom corner of the rear endpaper. Good. Stories include "Jeff and Leff", "Only a Blacksmith", "Old Gingerbread", "Uncle Richard's Story", "Jenny and Her Johnny", "The Runaway", "The Party at Number Five", "Jem and His Cat", and "The History of a Soldier, a Donkey, and a Doll".

The London Times said "Somnolia is a mythical land such as England might be as seen in a nightmare". The dust jacket is darkened and slightly creased along the edges. 145 & [2] pages, plus a folding list of illustrations. Profusely illustrated throughout. The edges of the pages are darkened. Very good. The Czech humorist and satirical writer Jaroslav Hasek (1883-1923) was a social anarchist best remembered for his novel "The Good Soldier Schweik".

Good book in good price clipped dust jacket. 10 x 7.5" with 24 pages. Bright colourful illustrations throughout by Victor Ambrus. Dust jacket was encased in a plastic sleeve stuck to the verso of the jacket resulting in a thinning of the paper where it was removed; there is also a visible line of old glue (all on the verso). The jacket has remained bright and clean but is creased on edges and along spine. Top edge also a little rolled. Picture boards bumped on spine ends and corners.
