‎JACQUES BRIDON SIEUR DE L'AUBERDIERE, Marié le 3 février 1615 à Ancenis, avec Perrine Haultebert (1600 - 1659), dame de Mercourt, Avocat au Parlement ET ÉCRIVAIN BRETON ....... Dans ses Vies des Saints de la Bretagne-Armorique, dont la première édition fut imprimée à Nantes en 1636-1637, Albert Le Grand dit à la fin de sa biographie de Saint Félix, évêque de Nantes, en citant les sources où il a puisé : « M. Jacques Brydon, sieur de Lauberdière, en a traité l'histoire fort exactement en son histoire de Bretaigne manuscrite » [Cette Histoire a esté par nous recueillie, en partie, dan ancien Livre intitulé Beneficium Ecclesiasticum les Histoires de Bretagne imprimées et manuscrites Frère Ferdinand du Chastel, en son Histoire ; André ravin, en son Théâtre dHonneur et Chevalerie, livre 6, page 119b, 5, 6, 7, S et 9 et des Mémoires de M. Jacques Bridon, sieur de lAuberdiere, et autres mémoires authentiques.]. Et quand il termine le récit de la vie de Saint Martin de Vertou, il énumère encore parmi ses documents : « l'Histoire manuscrite de Sainct Félix et les Mémoires du sieur de l'Auberdière Brydon ». Ainsi, avant l'année 1636, Jacques Bridon, sieur de l'Auberdière, avait écrit plusieurs ouvrages manuscrits dont la trace est aujourd'hui perdue, mais que l'on trouverait peut-être, en cherchant bien, à la Bibliothèque Nationale, à Paris, suivant l'opinion de Ludovic Chapplain, archiviste du département de la Loire-Inférieure en 1835. (Voir les Annales de la Société Académique de Nantes, 1835, pages 368 et 369). L'Auberdière, terre dont il était seigneur, est située, non loin des bords de la Loire, dans la commune de la Chapelle-Basse-Mer. L'ouvrage d'Albert Le Grand cité plus haut est le premier texte imprimé connu de nous où il est question de la famille Bridon, dont le nom s'écrivait alors Brydon [Note : D'après une tradition qui s'est perpétuée dans la famille, les Brydon seraient originaires d'Ecosse et seraient venus s'établir en Bretagne, à la suite des troubles politiques et religieux vers le milieu du XVIème siècle ; mais cette tradition ne repose sur aucun document écrit]. C'était, comme on le voit, dès 1636, une famille notable, qui avait des prétentions à la noblesse. Sous Louis XIV, en 1668, ces prétentions lui furent contestées et elle ne put les appuyer de preuves suffisantes, car on lit dans le manuscrit n° 1673, de la Bibliothèque publique de Nantes, résumé de la Réformation de la Noblesse de Bretagne, tome 1er, page 305 : « Jacques Bridon, sieur de Lauberdière, demeurant à Nantes, s'est désisté de la qualité de noble par luy prise et a payé 100 livres le premier octobre 1668 ». La famille Bridon, évincée de la Noblesse par les Réformateurs en 1668, y entra peu après en achetant une charge à la Chambre des Comptes de Bretagne. Dans son Nobiliaire et Armorial de Bretagne, 2ème édition, tome 1er, page 132, Pol Potier de Courcy, après avoir donné les armes des Bridon qui sont : « Tranché d'or et de gueules à un lion de l'un en l'autre » [Note : M. René Kerviler (Répertoire général de Bio-Bibliographie bretonne, tome VI, page 364), dit qu'on les trouve aussi « Tranché d'argent et de sinople à un lion de l'un en l'autre ». Il ajoute que la famille Bridon figure trois fois à l'Armorial général manuscrit d'Hozier, I, 156, II, 478, 602], mentionne « un Maître des Comptes en 1694 ». Ce Maître des Comptes était André Bridon de l'Auberdière, seigneur du Cartron, dans la paroisse de Haute-Goulaine, depuis l'année 1680. La terre du Cartron appartenait auparavant à la famille Ruyz. Il fut nommé Maître à la Chambre des Comptes de Bretagne par lettres de Louis XIV, du 12 novembre 1694, et reçu le 14 décembre suivant. (Manuscrit n° 1215 de la Bibliothèque de Nantes). Il mourut le 26 juillet 1728, âgé de 61 ans et fut inhumé à Nantes, dans l'église de Saint Vincent, ainsi que le dit Camille Mellinet, à la page 292 du tome 1er de son ouvrage « La Commune et la Milice de Nantes », dont voici le texte : « 1728, Pierre tombale à Saint Vincent. Messire André Bridon, seigneur du Cartron, conseiller du roi, maître ordinaire en sa Chambre des Comptes de Bretagne ». Son coeur fut mis dans « un reliquaire en plomb qui se voyait encastré dans le mur d'une chapelle » de l'église de Haute-Goulaine démolie en 1867. Ce reliquaire fait aujourd'hui partie de la collection archéologique du canton de Vertou, dont M. Charles Marionneau a dressé le Catalogue. (Bulletin de la Société Archéologique de Nantes, 1876, page 355) ...... arbre généalogique ou l'on trouve autre que le nom de Brydon, les Bachon, les Chasles, les Anneau, les Lommeau, les Rousseau, les Lambot, les Brisset, les Brechu, les Le Roy, les Le Clerr, les Frangeul, les Hauttebert..etc...
