After graduating from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto he worked for major Canadian newspapers including The Vancouver Province Detroit News Sudbury Star The Globe and Mail and The Toronto Star. Dick MacDonald founder of Content was most recently a research editor for the Royal Commission on Newspapers. He is the author of eight media-related books among which are The Media Game and Petroleum and Beyond. Born in Sackville New Brunswick MacDonald was correspondent for Maritime dailies at the age of fifteen editor of The Argosy at Mount Allison University in his first year and from there went on to report for newspapers across Canada including The Moncton Times Vancouver Sun and The Montreal Star.
