Attraverso un excursus storico, sociologico e criminologico, si vuole mettere in evidenza quanto poco considerata sia stata la donna nei tempi e come questo piuttosto che annientarla, l'abbia destinata a divenire un essere particolarmente capace di compiere gesti anche più orribili di quelli compiuti dagli uomini. La donna, infatti, ha acquisito una capacità di sopportazione e una soglia del dolore talmente alte, tali da renderla una pianificatrice perfetta ed un'attendista d'azione, a dir poco eccezionale. Ma questa capacità sviluppatasi nei secoli, di fatto, non è mai stata presa in considerazione come materia studio o di valutazione a sé, anzi la donna ha sempre beneficiato e beneficia tutt'oggi di un favor , sociale, psicologico ed anche giuridico, frutto dell'atavico senso di inferiorità e protezione che ad elle si doveva. In questo libro si vuole dimostrare quanto di più sbagliato vi sia nell'attribuire alla donna un ruolo marginale, e come spesso si sbaglia a considerare la donna come malata di mente se uccide o commette atti di pedofilia o di stalking. Le donne a differenza degli uomini fanno prevalere la razionalità nella commissione di omicidi che invece se commessi dagli uomini sono nella maggior parte dei casi puro istinto e scarsa logicità e pianificazione. Si sono affrontati temi quali la criminalità, la sociologia, la criminologia, il profiling, le donne serial killer e le forme di amore tossico, non tralasciando il ruolo delle madri che uccidono i figli e del ruolo delle donne nella criminalità organizzata. Tutta l'opera è improntata sui fatti che connotano e inquadrano la donna come un essere umano che non è un'appendice dell'uomo dal quale derivare aspetti o imitarne atteggiamenti, ma ella costituisce un suo carattere specifico e manifesta attitudini sue proprie.

br. Questo libro parla delle stragi negli anni 1992-1994 e, soprattutto, della trattativa Stato-mafia. Ma non consegna una verità bell'e pronta: ne consegna tre certificate, però diverse l'una dall'altra. In queste pagine i pm di Caltanissetta, Firenze e Palermo illustrano le conclusioni delle loro inchieste ventennali. Confrontandole emergono differenze di peso. Da una parte ci sono i magistrati di Palermo, così certi che ci sia stato un accordo fra boss e Stato da aver chiesto (e ottenuto) un processo. Dall'altra c'è la procura di Firenze, convinta che quel patto non sia stato chiuso. In mezzo c'è quella di Caltanissetta, che lega la trattativa all'omicidio del giudice Borsellino.
