‎Erste Ausgabe des einflußreichen Lehrbuchs, komplett in vier Bänden. - I. Waffen-Lehre. 1820; II. Truppen-Lehre der Infanterie, Cavallerie und Artillerie. 1820; III. Terrain-Lehre. 1822; IV. Taktische Verbindungs-Lehre. 1823. - Xylander (1794-1854), zu der Zeit noch Oberleutnant, war seit 1818 Lehrer am Kadettenkorps in München, stieg später bis zum Generalmajor auf, saß in der Frankfurter Nationalversammlung und wurde bayerischer Bevollmächtigter bei der Bundesmilitärkommission in Frankfurt. Sein Lehrbuch wurde noch in den 1850/60er Jahren in dritter bzw. vierter Auflage veröffentlicht. - Teils leicht stockfleckig, alle Bände mit Schreibpapier durchschossen, die "Truppen-Lehre" mit einigen sauberen zeitgenössischen Eintragungen auf den Durchschußblättern. Die hübschen Einbände gering berieben und mit vereinzelten kleinen Wurmspuren an den Deckeln, am unteren Rücken jeweils mit kleinem Papieretikett. - Schönes Exemplar aus der Bibliothek der Wittelsbacher. *Pohler III, 641.‎
