Beiliegend eine Einladungskarte zur Eröffnung der Ausstellung und ein Informationsblatt mit Briefkopf der Galerie zum Künstler Rudolf Bauer. -- Rudolf Bauer (1889-1953) stellte ab 1915 in Herwarth Waldens Sturm-Galerie aus und verfasste bereits einige Jahre vor Kandinsky Bauer eine theoretische Schrift über abstrakte bzw. "ungegenständliche Kunst". Von 1916-1921 lehrte er an der von Georg Muche geleiteten Sturm-Kunstschule und nahm bereits ab Beginn der 1920er Jahre an Ausstellungen in den USA teil, wo Salomon Guggenheim auf ihn aufmerksam wurde und die ersten Werke von ihm erwarb. Dem folgten weitere Ankäufe sowie später eine vertragliche Bindung. 1930 gründete Bauer in Berlin ein eigenes Museum, "Das Geistreich". Le premier volume commence avant les États-Généraux et va jusqu'à sa nomination comme Ministre de la Marine en 1791. On y trouve de précieux détails sur les ministères, notamment sur Necker. Le second tome raconte la suite de son ministère jusqu'à sa démission, sa mise en cause par les jacobins, ses rapports avec le roi ; le tome troisième décrit sa mise en accusation qui l'oblige à partir pour l'Angleterre, son émigration, le procès du roi...Petite usure à la coiffe supérieure du tome 3 et à certains coins.
