He was the youngest to have the Chair of Classical Philology at the University of Basel in 1869 at the age of 24. </br></br>His career were largely on art philology history religion tragedy culture and science and drew primary influence from personages including Schopenhauer Wagner and Goethe. His work crosses philosophical polemics poetry cultural criticism and fiction while showing an attachment for aphorism and irony. br. Novembre 1989: migliaia di cittadini della Germania Est emigrano all'Ovest. Solo una persona si sposta nella direzione opposta: il nuovo passaporto dello scrittore Ronald M. Schernikau (1960-1991) sarà l'ultimo emesso dalle autorità della Repubblica Democratica Tedesca. Estate 1980: Schernikau si trasferisce a Berlino Ovest dalla provincia tedesca, ha vent'anni e ha appena pubblicato uno scandaloso romanzo autobiografico in cui descrive il coming-out di un giovane liceale di campagna. Appena giunto nella citta del Muro si butta nella vita culturale e notturna, entrando in contatto con i media, i cabaret, le saune e le discoteche. Incontra l'amore della sua vita e stringe molte nuove amicizie con artisti emergenti, tra cui Frings, autore di questo libro. Schernikau non riesce più a scrivere, ma diviene il fulcro della capitale culturale tedesca, pur distinguendosi per una caratteristica fondamentale: mentre gli altri sono apolitici, anarchici o spontaneisti, lui e un comunista dogmatico. Insieme alla madre Ellen, cittadina modello della Germania Est, è fuggito all'Ovest. Ellen non ha saputo integrarsi nel nuovo paese e ha cresciuto il figlio nell'illusione che "di là" si stava molto meglio.

Per questo la scrittura-lettura è raccomandabile. E per questo va data lode al Frugis di aver composto un'agile biografia del barone von Ungern, "sulla base di documenti d'archivio estoni e russi, e di una bibliografia poco nota in Occidente". Un merito, sopra tutto, gli va riconosciuto: di offrirci l'occasione di tentare' la sua scrittura per trascenderla, poggiando sui tratti biografici da lui disegnati, e fiutare, oltre l'"andatura del tempo" che ne muoveva i gesti, l'alito della preistoria che il barone inflessibile inspirava. Nietzsche notava come esistano esseri che formano "una sintesi di inumano e di sovrumano, di bruto e uomo superiore": costoro non vanno sentiti e valutati alla stregua degli altri, tanto meno degli uomini andati a male.

Il rischio e la perdita. Su identità e linguaggio in Martin Heidegger

La presente ricerca si basa sulla traduzione delle lezioni universitarie tenute da Heidegger a Friburgo durante il semestre estivo del 1934 e raccolte nella Gesamtausgabe sotto il titolo Logik als die Frage nach dem Wesen der Sprache (La logica come questione dell'essenza del linguaggio). Il nucleo teoretico che caratterizza questo ciclo di lezioni è il problema dell'identità dell'uomo, la "questione del chi" (Werfrage) dell'esserci. Non a caso Heidegger s'impegna a definire i termini del rapporto relazionale che lega l'identità della singola esistenza (il Selbst) e il linguaggio. Rispetto alla questione del Selbst ciò che emerge è il "rischio" di una riduzione deterministica del senso del sé dell'uomo e di una conseguente assolutizzazione del senso del linguaggio. La conseguenza di una preventiva determinazione del senso del Selbst porta, infatti, a ciò che Richard Rorty ha definito "reificazione del linguaggio". Si è tentato in questo lavoro di rintracciare il pericolo di una riduzione della singolarità e dell'esemplarità dell'esistenza di qualunque uomo tra l'insensatezza di un linguaggio indifferente, come è quello logistico, e l'interpretazione heideggeriana del logos.

Ne viene un libro di critica non solo attento e perspicace, ma proficuo e godibile, avventuroso anche, per chi ancora si accosti al mistero cruento del grande famedio merulano, al numero civico del 219. Primo Levi davanti all'assurdo. Dire l'indicibile
br. Perché non possiamo prescindere dalla Shoah come evento paradigmatico di sopraffazione dell'uomo sull'uomo? Adorno riteneva che non fosse più possibile scrivere poesia dopo Auschwitz, tanta era stata la violenza annichilente dell'universo concentrazionario dei Lager. La ferocia nazifascista spezza le vite di milioni di deportati, ne nega l'identità, privandoli di ogni forma di diritto. Il comando tedesco distrugge i legami comunitari, sovverte le leggi della società, istituendo una macchina per l'annientamento dell'uomo. Contro l'ideologia della razza, la parola dei testimoni sopravvive e si erge a difesa. Primo Levi, scampato all'inferno, forgia nel suo laboratorio di chimico, testimone e scrittore una parola inscalfibile, resistente all'oltraggio. L'autrice entra in questo laboratorio e prova ad osservarne le componenti linguistiche, psicologiche e sociali che, come reagenti di potenza straordinaria, innescano nel lettore reazioni emotive di un'intensità straordinaria. Primo Levi con ustionante pacatezza ci richiama, di fronte ai crimini commessi, al nostro ruolo di giudici, affinando la nostra capacità di riflettere sul contagio del male.
