Ruvigliana 1940-47. From the estate of Gunter B�hmer 1911-1986. Ruvigliana 1940-47. Interesting document of the friendship between the graphic artist Imre Reiner and his wife Hedwig and Maria Geroe-Tobler 1895-1963 friend of the painter Hans Purrmann known for her colorful woven wall hangings. Born in St. Gallen she studied at the Bauhaus Dessau and was a pupil of Klee Kandinsky and Gunta St�lzl the weaving teacher there; since 1925 she lived in Montagnola where she also befriended Hermann Hesse and his wife Ninon. Most of the prints were birthday greetings inscribed e.g. "zum 12. XII. 1940 mit den herzlichsten W�nschen I.R." Two leaves pertain to the novel "Madame Bovary" and were executed in 1935 1 color etching has the date 1937 in the plate. A short handwritten note signed "Hedwig Imre Michael und Roland Reiner" is addressed to "Die liebe Frau Mareili Geroe-Tobler" another letter on stationery with Hedwig Reiner's letterhead in the addressed envelope is in Hedwig's hand signed "Hedwig u. Imre Reiner". It refers to Gunter B�hmer: "Wir wollen ganz fest hoffen u. bitten dass der liebe Boehmer weiterhin malen u. zeichnen darf". In Germania è stata una figura leggendaria, e da ogni punto di vista è uno dei più grandi piloti che il mondo abbia mai conosciuto. Questa è la sua storia personale. È uno dei libri di guerra più illuminanti che siano usciti dalla Germania, fornendo una panoramica dei piani della Luftwaffe in molte fasi del conflitto. br. Perché Thomas Mann, oggi? Questo libro tenta una ricognizione estetica e filosofica del romanziere tedesco, articolata dagli autori (come già nei due precedenti libri su G. Bataille e F. Nietzsche) attraverso un reale dialogo che lascia emergere, all'interno dell'opera manniana, sia le sfaccettature mitologiche sia le numerose connessioni col pensiero filosofico. Partito dalla classica triade del 'pessimismo' tedesco Schopenhauer-Wagner-Nietzsche, col sempre presente e pressante modello goethiano alle spalle, Mann si avventura nella vastità dei territori dello spirito attraverso la necessità della narrazione, presagendo però consapevolmente di essere un 'ultimo', uno che chiude e conclude un intero periodo dell'Occidente. La crisi della coscienza di un'epoca avviata verso la notte e l'oblio; il problema del male e della malattia in relazione all'esistenza stessa dell'arte; la possibilità di un nuovo, difficile umanesimo per poter uscire dalla 'decadenza'; infine, il rapporto col mito come emblema di ciò che è universalmente umano: perciò questo libro è anche uno studio sull'ermetico, ovvero quel peculiare e segreto elemento mitologico che accompagna il 'mago' Mann lungo tutto l'arco della sua opera.
