INGRASSIA, Giov.Filippo.
in 4, pp. (6), 312, (38), 205, (14), leg. poster. m.perg. e ang. Adams I-120. BMC p. 339. Castiglioni, Storia della medicina, pp. 428-429. Durling, 2547. Mortimer, Harvard, I, 241. Kidd, Sue Monk
The Dance of the Dissident Daughter: A Woman's Journey from Christian Tradition to the Sacred Feminine
For years, Sue Monk Kidd was a conventionally religious woman. Then, in the late 1980s, she experienced an unexpected awakening, and began a journey toward a feminine spirituality. With the exceptional storytelling skills that have helped make her name, Kidd tells her very personal story of the fear, anger, healing, and freedom she experienced on the path toward the wholeness that many women have lost in the church. From a jarring encounter with sexism in a suburban drugstore, to monastery retreats and to rituals in the caves of Crete, she reveals a new level of feminine spiritual consciousness for all women one that retains a meaningful connection with the "deep song of Christianity," embraces the sacredness of ordinary women's experience, and has the power to transform in the most positive ways every fundamental relationship in a woman's life her marriage, her career, and her religion. 238p.As new except for remainder mark. Jo. Mariae Lancisii Intimi Cubicularii, Archiatri, Pontificii et in Romano Archilyceo primariam medicinae practicae Cathedram Moderantis Opera Varia in Unum Congesta, et in duos Tomos Distribuita. Tomus Primus – Secundus
Completo. Legatura coeva in piena pergamena molle. Primo frontespizio stampato in rosso e nero. "Lancisi, great Italian clinician, was the first to describe cardiac syphilis; he was also notable as an epidemiologist, with a clear insight into the theory of contagion. He was physician to Pope Clement XI, who turned over to him the forgotten copper plates executed by Eustachius in 1552. Lancisi published these with his own notes in 1714. [...] Lancisi's posthumous De aneurysmatibus published in 1728 appears only in later collected editions" (Garrison Morton).
