In 8°; 48 pp. Legatura in cartoncino ottocentesco con titolo chiosato da mano ottocentesca al piatto anteriore. Rara edizione di questo libretto teatrale appartenente alla scuola francese della “opéra-comique” in riga con la Comédie Italienne in grande voga alla corte francese come attesta anche il luogo e la data della prima rappresentazione. Madame Favart Duronceray fu oltre che autrice e coautrice di numerose di queste commedie anche una delle più celebri attrici del suo tempo. Una deglia autori è sicuramente Favart Duronceray Marie-Justine Benoit, mentre l'altro autore è probabilemnte Charles-Simon Favart (marito della Duronceray). Finalini e testatine ornati. Qualche piccola macchiolina al frontespizio e per il resto in buone condizioni di conservazione. L'opera è ispirata al lavoro dello stesso titolo di Marmontel che riprese la storia vera di due cugini, Gilles Dewalt e Marie Schmitz, che amandosi chiesero alla chiesa cattolica ma non ottennero il permesso di sposarsi anche se la donna rimase incinta. Nessun esemplare censito in ICCU in questa edizione.

br. Il 29 ottobre del 1787 veniva rappresentato a Praga il dramma giocoso in due atti intitolato "Il dissoluto punito", musica di Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart su libretto di Lorenzo Da Ponte, basato su un mito popolare rappresentato in teatro e in musica e divenuto per antonomasia il ritratto del libertino impunito. Ma tutti i Don Juan che precedettero quello mozartiano - da Tirso de Molina a Molière (per non dire di quelli che lo seguirono, da Balzac a Baudelaire a Brecht) - convergono e derivano dalla figura che giganteggia nelle parole e nella musica di quel "Dissoluto punito" di Praga. Al quale mise mano anche un suo doppio e alter ego come Giacomo Casanova, presente anch'egli quella sera magica in cui Don Giovanni trovava la sua definitiva e insuperata collocazione nell'orizzonte dei miti moderni. Questo saggio racconta la cronaca di quei giorni in cui Mozart, Da Ponte e Casanova si radunano e si attraggono intorno alla figura di Don Juan, a cui finalmente, come in un'alchimia prodigiosa, Praga fa da fonte battesimale e l'ultimo dei grandi miti moderni celebra la sua apoteosi e la sua nascita.
