Quelques antiphonaires et surtout quelques processionnaux originaires du Sud de la France (Arles, Uz s, Fr jus, Narbonne, Saint-Guilhem-le-D sert, Saint-Seurin de Bordeaux) r v lent certaines particularit s du propre du sanctoral c l br dans ces r gions et transmettent bien souvent des chants inconnus par ailleurs. Une introduction pr sentant sommairement les fonds, leur histoire et leurs particularit s, claire le cadre historique dans lequel ces livres ont vu le jour ou ont t utilis s. Chaque notice comporte une description sommaire du manuscrit, une pr sentation des l ments permettant de pr ciser l'origine ou la provenance du volume, la date de sa r daction et son histoire. La description du contenu privil gie les l ments susceptibles d' clairer l'histoire et l'usage du livre et vise donner un aper u exhaustif de certains r pertoires, celui des hymnes et des proses en particulier.
