Didot Firmin Cartonnage d'éditeur 1822 In-4 (23x32 cm), cartonnage de l'éditeur, édition originale, 300 pages, gravures et schémas hors-texte (60 tableaux gravés), Jean-Antoine Coussin (1770-1849) est un architecte français qui, sans avoir étudié dans un atelier ou une école, remportera le Premier Prix d'Architecture en 1797. On peut citer de lui la construction de l'abattoir Montmartre, le monument funéraire de la famille Daru dans le Cimetière du Nord, la restauration de l'Hôtel de Bouillon à Paris, ou encore l'Hôtel d'Aremberg à Bruxelles. Son fils, Louis Ambroise (1798-1860) suivit la carrière paternelle, l'aidant à dessiner des planches de cet ouvrage, et en donnant une nouvelle édition de Vitruve ; fissures au dos usé, manques aux coiffes frottées, coins et coupes frottés, traces de frottement et rayures sur les plats, mors fendus, rousseurs, en l'état.
